This is the moment a California cop shot dead a dangerous fugitive from 30 yards after he opened fire on the officer and tried to steal his motorcycle during a highway chase.
Dramatic body camera footage shows Fremont police officer Brian Burch, rolling down an embankment to escape a hail of bullets fired by attempted homicide suspect Joshua James Gloria, 34, before stumbling to his feet and returning fire.
Burch fired five shots at Gloria, from Oakland, before the suspect collapsed to the ground and died just before 2.50pm on March 24.
Police had wanted to question him about an armed robbery in San Francisco.

But cops don’t need to be armed....just ask Berkley!

He should be given a parade. Good shot.

They should calculate how much money he saved the taxpayers to keep this piece of shite incarcerated for most of his life and give a portion of it to this cop as a bonus.

Thirty yard shot with a pistol on a moving target while under duress. Out fricking standing.
I can barely hit a turning paper target in the five ring (if I’m lucky) from twenty five yards. And I’m not getting shot at.

Yeah, a lot of people don't understand just how difficult that shot is to pull off

Way to go officer. Glad he's the one going home!

No warning shots? Could have aimed for the leg. Gah

Dang. That looks like a movie scene. Awesome shot.

30 yards with a pistol on a static target is within the range of most proficient shooters.
A moving target at that range is a whole different ballgame.
Nice shooting! Score one for the good guys!

This would surprise no one. I’m surprised the headlines don’t read, “White cop shoots unarmed Hispanic father running for safety”
