Jimmy Carter was the last conservative president.
If conservatives were honest on here they would cry for the days of Jimmy Carter. Because everyone after him has spent more and done worse.

Jimmy Carter started deregulation of the airlines, energy, banking, trucking, beer, etc. He got walloped by inflation that fell in his lap due to the expansion of the money supply from the Viet Nam war, the Great Society and ending the Breton Woods agreement and hired Paul Volker (whom Reagan kept) to successfully fight inflation. Conservatives hate Jimmy Carter because Sean Hannity and Rush before him repeated ad naseum that he was “the worst President ever.”

Carter's IQ was likely quite high but he wasn't up to the task from a "Leadership Quotient" perspective. He was a detail guy, not a leader and it sank him.
