he was smart, managed the game and won games in the NFL.
That's all it takes in college as well. Not throwing int's and converting on third down will take you far in the game of football.

Dude, it's one throw in practice without defenders on the field. You can't judge who will be the better qb based on this.

Brennans throw looks like its about 40 yards further than Maxs
And way less effort to get it there.

Anybody who knows anything football can see there is a BIG difference in those two balls...even the WR coach speaks about it to the guys

Clearly looks easier for Brennan.
He has a stronger arm. That is for sure.
I agree that arm strength is not everything.
I agree that Brennan needs to work on his accuracy and short passing game.

Actually Max’s ball went further. At the end of each catch are 2 small cones on the field. Look where receiver catches in relation to those cones.

Myles-obviously has the better arm
I’m not sure how you can make such a statement from that angle. Ball placement could be argued, but we also don’t know anything about what techniques and routes the QB’s or receivers are working on.

Both balls were near the 20, Johnson’s was a few feet further.

For the downvoters who don’t agree with my “pick 6” comment about TJ Finley. Click the link.
In all fairness, TJ Finley is not an SEC QB. I am tired of hearing about his arm strength. Brandon Harris had a strong arm but was a terrible QB.
There is no damn way TJ Finley can beat out Brennan, Nussmeyer, and Max this season and Max, Nussmeyer, and Walker Howard next season. It isn’t going to happen.

Yep I ate my crow way too soon on Finley. The SCar game was fool’s gold; he is who I thought he is - a big guy with a big arm but lacking accuracy, poise, game awareness, and leadership.
Brennan definitely has a stronger arm, but Max showed pretty incredible touch especially for a freshman. Remember the perfect teardrop TD at at Florida?
I still think Brennan starts, but now we know we have a capable backup or replacement. But the OL should be much improved with so much continuity, which bodes well for a pocket guy like Brennan.

Dude, I never proclaimed which one I thought would be the better QB. Jury is still out.
I will say this- after all is said and done, I think Nuss will ultimately have the best career out of all these guys.

A fade is supposed to push the WR to the boundary to increase separation. Brennan’s throw was where it was supposed to be. Johnson’s would have been a pb at best.
Disclaimer: this is not an opinion on either qb. Just that you’re talking out your arse

Look who can throw a football with no lineman. You’re better than this.

I get that you aren’t a fan, but for a true freshman he had a ton of poise and decent accuracy. He won the Arkansas game for us.

But Ryan Clark said Brennan’s arm wasn’t that great
