I went to a few before it, but the first one I remember well was the 1979 loss to Tulane in the Superdome in Charlie McClendon’s last game.
Dad took little me to many games in Tiger Stadium in the 70’s, but I was 8 and remember that game well.
LSU fans under the age of 35 or so have no idea how big that game used to be. Tulane had a lot more fans than they do now and they were going insane after that win.

1989 Tennessee game. It was homecoming. I was in the 8th grade. we sat way up in the northeast endzone. i remember there being a lot of empty seats. What i won't ever forget is the sound of the drum corps during the game. those drums sounded so good to my ears. I was hooked from that point on.

Florida game in '93. I was 10. I remember being sad the whole game because our offense couldn't cross midfield. I think we did once and got a field goal out of it. Got stomped 58-3. Dad wanted to leave at halftime. I begged him to stay until the end of the 3rd quarter. You could sit anywhere those days!

Don't remember the year, it was early 70's and Paul Lyons and Bert Jones split time at QB, I believe. I remember Lyons having a long run in the game but that's about all I remember. If It was early 70's I was maybe 7-8 years old.

LSU at Rice about '71(?) I was living in Houston and didn't know anything about LSU. They blew the doors of Rice and I thought LSU fans were the most obnoxious people I had ever seen!! LOL!!

LSU 7, Georgia Tech 6, October 5, 1963.
Back when Tech was still in the SEC and still a power. LSU beat them 3 years in a row in the early sixties and Tiger Stadium was electric back then. It was truly a great game as it followed a disappointing effort in Houston vs Rice.
LSU had lots of skill players on offense back then, Pat Screen, Buddy Hamic, Buddy Soefker, Joe Labruzzo, Danny Leblanc (he had the power and the physique of a cannonball), and especially the great Billy Truax!
I liked the 1963 and 1964 seasons the best, in the history of LSU football. Not because they were the best LSU teams, but because that's when I first followed the team, and I knew it would become a lifetime passion of mine.

1994 LSU Miss st game. Eddie Kennision with the wtf are you doing.... ok oh shite he went all the way punt return for a touchdown lol. I remember being a 8 year old sitting in the upper deck wondering why we couldn’t sit at the bottom with all the available seats lol.

1972 Bluebonnet Bowl . LSU lost to Tennesse 24-17 , Bert Jones and Paul Lyons split time against Condridge Holloway.

Horrible game. I cried that afternoon when the score got to 24-0 at halftime. It just seems incredible that LSU got a Cotton Bowl invite only 2 weeks later, to play #1 Arkansas!
