Probably because they’re a competitor and their research indicates they can outperform the competition.
Like I said, maybe it is a decent idea for Golf Suites if it is far and away better than TG (no idea) and can steal their business.
But as someone who is neither of them and who just lives in BR and hates seeing closed-down businesses, I don't love the idea.

Fair enough. On the other hand, if they can offer an improved experience for the patrons, it’s a great idea. Competition is usually a good thing. If a place gets run out of business, it was probably meant to happen.

Have you ever considered moving out of BR?

Weren't you one of the posters that swore that Top Golf would fail because there was no market in Baton Rouge?

My guess is that Top Golf has more staying power between the two of them. But I've never seen a Golf Suites before. Maybe it's better.
17 acres isn't something that's easy to open up in a place like New Orleans. These places tend to open near highways, and Lafayette seems to be growing in the opposite direction of I-10. Covington, Slidell, Hammond or Mandeville are probably a lot easier marks than new Orleans for this. Maybe even Jefferson Parish.
