2021 Zurich Classic - no players committed yet?

Anyone else surprised that they don’t have any public commitments 3 weeks out?
In the past they’ve rolled out the commitments on social media building up to the best players...nada at the moment.

I know Rahm & Palmer will be back to defend. Obviously the Zurich sponsored golfers will be there (Morikowa, Rose and Billy Ho). Max Homa said Talor Gooch will be his partner. Wouldn't be surprised to see some potential Ryder Cup partners play to get some practice together.

Morikawa and Matthew Wolff will be teammates.

I would think most players used this week to eat like kings, enjoy good music, gamble, soak in the most historic city in the Union, spend romantic time with a loved one, etc. etc.
All of that in NO is dead when it is an outsider looking in.

New Orleans is more open than half the country. Other than the mask BS and bars closing at 11 most places are back to business as usual.

Most players go there to try to win a golf tournament as is their job. Maybe a couple of the big names that are there for sponsorship obligations, but it's a great opportunity for most of the players as it's a pretty weak field.
They're going to treat it like they would every other tournament, and the state of the "openness" of the city is going to have nothing to do with who's in the field.

I heard Finau and Cam Champ are playing together.
Heard it from some chick in the airport claiming she worked for some agent.

That's right, I forgot about this. Horschel said this on the Golf Sub Par podcast interview a month or two ago. They got some nice digs in about the whole shoe throw that cost the Gators the game.

Well I would assume two Nike guys would play together. I would pair Finau with Scheffler.
Fleetwood was with Sergio in 2019 and Fat Pat paired with Cantlay

Patrick Reed and Bubba are teaming up since they’re friends.

Anyone know when the final lineup is posted for the Zurich? The Team List was last updated on 4/9 on their website, decent amount of teams posted.
No Patrick Reed who usually plays in it. No Justin Rose who is a Zurich ambassador. No Spieth who I remember following a couple years ago. And also Pat Perez said he was teaming up with Joel Dahmen on the Foreplay Podcast. No Brooks/Chase Koepka team yet. Doesn’t Jason Day usually play in it? What about Sergio?
Good lineup so far though!

I believe that players have until this Friday to commit to the tournament, so the list won't be finalized until Friday night/Saturday morning.
Don't look for Brooks Koepka to play. He is taking time off again.

No Hideki no care
Just kidding, looks like anyone’s favorite player might not be there but certainly no shortage of talent.
