Yeah frick me for wanting to go riding and spending my commerce in these little towns on the weekends. We enjoyed riding through these old Arkansas roads and stopping in these little stores. In my truck, not going to be doing that as much at 3+ gal. Also once these taxes go up I won't have as much to spend anways.

So far holding steady at $3.89 all week, I expect it to go over $4 by this weekend.

don't higher fuel prices help the oil and gas production industry?

It's 100% dependent on why the prices are rising.

If it's due to demand? Sure

If it's due to bans and we're importing, that doesn't help anyone over here.

I was talking to a guy this week and he works in an industry that is dependent on O&G doing well and he thought that price increases automatically = job security.

OPEC announced a cut in production right after the election to drive up the price. They are trying to make up for the reduction of fuel comsumption for 2020. Also last month was the first time since the pandamic that we had a million people fly in one weekend since the pandamic. The demand is starting to rise so wil the price. You can blame OPEC but most will just blame Biden. Gas was 2.30 a gallon before the pandamic people forget the only reason it has been cheap is due to the low demand.

Liberals want prohibitively high gas prices to make their beloved battery cars more alluring

Biden is going to squeeze supply every chance he gets

Regular unleaded prices literally 2x what they were at the low point of the last year.

Blenders have started stepping down the RVP of their gas 3 days ago for the most part.

So OPEC slows production and decides the price should be raised due to lower supply...OK. But Biden has shut down Keystone - lowering supply even further. Not to mention it reduces our capability to be more self sufficient. Add to that, he shat in the O&G sandbox even more by halting offshore leases, reducing supply even further, and giving OPEC an even higher percentage of available supply, so they can squeeze the consumer even more than before. Brilliant.

Dems keep people on the never ending carousel of giving out money, then driving the prices of items up, then telling you how you need the government to help, so keep voting D. I swear, it takes a special kind of stupid to keep that circle going.

Rather than %s I'm counting my gains in multiples. There's nothing stupid about it.

Oil is actually down a decent bit it’s only 62 a barrel. That doesn’t justify 3.50 gas.

It has to hit 100/bbl to get that high. What’s causing the increase? It’s not oil supply or prices.

refining capacity hasnt really grown much over the years. Im not sure the last time we've actually built a new refinery. Sure they've updated some to try to keep pace. But it's not enough.
