Some things are more of a target than others.
In 2007 Channon Gail Christian, aged 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom Jr., aged 23, were from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were kidnapped by five savages on the evening of January 6, 2007, when Christian's Toyota 4Runner was carjacked, and Newsom's present Chevy Silverado was not carjacked. The couple were taken to a rental house, and put through living H_ll by the carjacking animals.
So, I'd think twice about getting a 4Runner.

I test drove it. Very stiff steering and rattled like a tin can on the interstate.
Something good about it is actually the lack of fancy tech. It makes it timeless while giving it less to break.
They are fine toys or everyday vehicles for those that don’t drive all day or have long commutes.
That being said, it’s a solid vehicle and one of the few still completely manufactured in Japan.
I have a second baby on the way so I made the dad decision and bought the 21 Highlander XLE and it is luxurious

If I needed to blend in while on the run, sure.

We have a TRD Off Road Premium. Great vehicle but stay away from white. Lots of chips and it’s only a few months old. A lot of white owners have had issues with paint quality.

I like the 4runner. I just can’t afford the note unless I finance for like 120 months.

Nope

If Toyota would update the tech in them they would sell twice as many. Dont understand how Ford can be lightyears ahead. The hardest part is getting the car to be reliable, which Toyota has mastered. They have just completely ignored the tech though and it shows in the 4Runner

My next vehicle is going to be one. My truck ill hold for probably two more years unless the engine or transmission goes. I'll buy a year off used with 30-50k miles if possible. Its what we did for the girls car and my Moms car I helped her finance.

Absolutely. That’s a great SUV.
I had my Tacoma in the mud yesterday while I was doing some fishing. That truck is built for being used like that. So it that 4Runner.

That’s wrong. People buy Land Cruiser because they aren’t those other vehicles. I’m not saying all LC get used off road, but certainly at a higher rate than those other vehicles.

I really like the 4runners as do most drivers. A lot of good there. What are the negatives? Opinions or experiences.

Sure would. Actually getting an SR5 Premium in the next month.
