Napa winery recommendations

Started planning our next trip to Napa for October and looking for winery suggestions from your past experiences. Wineries we’ve been to in the past that we’ve enjoyed have been Paraduxx, Artesa, Cakebread, Frog’s Leap, Truchard, & Amizetta (club members) to give you an idea of what we like. So far on this trip we are looking at Hendry, Brion, Yates Family, Pride Mountain & Faust Haus but looking for a few more places to fill in some open slots. Typically we are cab fans. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve only been to Napa once, but two winery/vineyards recommended to me that were good on cabs were Stags’ Leap and Robert Sinskey.
Sinskey is a lot smaller of an operation than Stags’, but I thoroughly enjoyed both.

We were supposed to book Palmaz last trip but their openings didn’t work for us so it was in the back of my mind this go around.

Second for Peju and add St. Supéry.

Corison, Spottswoode, Larkmead, Keenan, White Rock and Young Inglewood are some that we really enjoy there.

Have you checked with Latoya?

Got married at Peju. Love that place. Jarvis makes great wines and has an awesome tour. I highly recommend.

Are you more interested in the experience (tour, view, etc) or drinking damn good juice?

Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel (these 2 are owned by the same family), Quintessa (one of the best wines in Napa), Hall, Lewis Cellars (for the wine, not the view), Silver Oak, Joseph Phelps, Schramsberg (for champagne) or Davies (for their cab), Opus One, Chappellet or Darioush. Most of these are high-end cabs (over $75-$100 per bottle), but all of these wines are outstanding. Most or all charge a tasting fee, some higher than others, but may be waived if you purchase wine. For wine and views, Far Niente, Joseph Phelps, Quintessa, Schramsberg and Darioush are the top views and all have great wines. Cheers.

Stag's Leap Cave tour, Robert Mondavi twilight tour were both great. Enjoyed Peju too.
Definitely start your days with trips to champagne producers. Mumm and Domaine Chandon were both great. Also, hit up Model Bakery in Yountville for the best English muffin you'll ever have

Peju as others have noted.
Chateau Montelena. Their wines were what turned the wine world upside down in 1976.
Smith-Madrone. It's a the top of Spring Mountain with great wines and beautiful views. Their chardonnay and Riesling are excellent and they also make some highly rated cabs. Great people as well.
