Seems like she is trying to make her son some sort of martyr in order to grab 15 minutes of fame and a bit of profit with the esteemed lawyer Mr. Crump begging to trot her out in front of the nasty MSM cameras.

True, unfortunately. In fact, now that you mention it, I bet it's a foregone conclusion that a fairly widely publicized GoFundMe account will happen, if it hasn't already. Which that wouldn't bear fruit unless he's (and by extension she) a perceived victim.
