re: Was Ted Kaczynski right?

There's little doubt he was a brilliant man.
And the worst writer ever. His actually word-for-word manifesto is painful use of the English language. He takes 1,000 words to express a 20 word thought.
Edit: And that's how he got caught. His brother recognized the horrible writing style and notified the cops.

The world is full of people who correctly diagnose the problem but then prescribe an incorrect course of treatment. Kaczynski was just that kind of sociopathic murderer. I'm basically with him until the innocents start dying. And I've written here before about having coffee a few times in Boulder with John Hauser, a really good man who was terribly injured. So when I hear Unabomber, I think of his injuries.

Liberal progressive Democrats now control every aspect of major communication media in the U.S. This is possible because liberals control the associated technology in big tech companies like: Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple Computer and Microsoft. If these companies were controlled by freedom loving centrists with the best interests of the U.S. at heart, then there wouldn't be an issue.
I agree with gist of what you’re saying here, but what makes you so certain that if these entities were controlled by conservatives that it would all be okay? Power corrupts everyone. Just my opinion.

This ratchet of technological self-amplification is stronger than politics.
This is currently not true. Big Tech has politics driving it.

They’re fused together.
But look at how they push for more and more technology, and how they insert technology into our lives in ways that challenge our basic freedoms.

I am willing to have an open mind and go back to see who he bombed.

I think a “good person” would immediately shut these companies down. And stop what they’re doing.
Anyone who finds these companies, and what they’re doing, attractive, there’s something wrong with them.

Yeah, Ted, William Gibson, Aasimov, they were all right about the undertones of technocracy.

That's relative in their theocracy.
They think what they are doing is morally elevated...as simply as a priest takes a vow. How often are those vows done away with?

You could make the same statement about Dylan Roof. He handled it in the same disgusting vile way as Kaczynski but he was damn right that there is a war on the White race.

My argument is that anyone who embraces these tools, is dangerous. Anyone with a strong moral core, would destroy them.
They are a religious movement, but a godless one, which is dangerous.
Without a divinely imposed moral core, you end up with moral relativism, and an ends justifies the means attitude. Everything is permitted in the name of the cause. And these people have all the power in the world.
There’s no reason to believe it won’t end the way it did in any other totalitarian state. Be it the Soviet Union, or Cambodia.

Nuclear energy could provide us all we need.
And since the libs want pie in the sky stuff let's talk about fusion reactors.

I think you’ll have a tough time finding this “angel” you speak of to shite them down.
To me, the answer is someone like E Musk to challenge them by offering timely free outlets for people to speak their minds. Competition. Competition of ideas and ideals.

Yes, of course. I do wonder how much the psychological experimentation at Harvard effected his sociopathy.
If you look at the way they experimented on him, it’s not much different in how the media treats a portion of the American people right now. If you have a certain ideology, you’re a moron. If you believe things in front of your eyes, you’re crazy. If you’ve reached certain rational conclusions about society, you’ve lost it, are a bigot, a conspiracist, etc. His professor essentially berated him with that for 3 years in these sessions in order to break him. It was abusive.
His brother indicated that he was completely different after college. He became extremely cynical, conspiracy-minded and wanted to get off the grid.
I remember a chilling quote from the Unabomber documentary by his brother. “Sometimes it’s better to be broken.”
There’s apparently evidence the CIA was involved in this experimentation.

No, absolutely, it will never happen.
I assume this totalitarian cycle will end in violence, twenty or thirty years from now.
