My family lived in the north during the war. Do I pay reparations?

It wont be enough ever. They will be back for more. When the well runs dry we will all suffer. This is sickening. When Biden raises taxes on hard working americans for shitt like this, thats when i retire and start paying as little taxes as i can. Glad i invested in a roth ira

I take great joy in you disagreeing with anything I post. It lets me know I’m right.

I don't know if my family owned slaves or not but if I have to pay reperations, I might as well become a slave owner. I'll take 3 to start.

This is about white privilege (aka cultural norms regarding the requirement to actually have to produce something in order to prosper) and tearing down a system seen as 'unfair'.
I just want a dollar amount. Give me a single figure per black person in America today, irregardless of age, to make this all fricking go away.

Family units with the concept of education (specifically math and reading), religion, believing in America, hard work and saving for the future is now nothing short of racist white supremacy theory.
Once again, a very small % of the population is controlling the entire agenda while a vast majority silently sits in the slow boiling pot of water doing nothing and allowing this to happen.

Direct payments to African Americans for enslavement of African Americans from 1619 to 1865.
Black Americans comprise 13% of nation's population by constitute less than 3 % of its wealth.
Racial wealth gap must be closed with direct payments.
I am willing to donate my next paycheck to any slaves still alive from pre-Civil war.

Politicians are the ones that allowed slavery in parts of the usa so politicians should be the ones paying for it.

"It is impractical and a non-starter for the United States to pay reparations," Owens said Wednesday. "It is also unfair and heartless to give Black Americans the hope that this is a reality. The reality is that Black American history is not one of a hapless, hopeless race oppressed by a more powerful white race. It is instead a history of millions of middle- and wealthy-class Black Americans throughout the early 20th century achieving their American dream
What a BOOM of a statement from Burgess Owens from Utah
