Any of you baws shoot that shite? Is it worth it? I am kind of scared to test them out because I might like them too much.

I've had the same fear. Jokers are pricey

Don't buy it if you are worried about liking them too much.

That is insanely expensive.

No doubt, however it's the cheapest aspect of hunting. I spend a lot of time and money getting close to turkeys. Waking up at 3-4am every day for 45 days can wear a man down. Spending $13 for one shell vs $5 doesn't really make that big of a difference overall unless you are shooting every day, which would put you over the limit quickly, which is illegal and unsportsmanlike therefore I'd never do that.
The only time I've regretted buying TSS is when I give someone a shell and they proceed to miss a turkey with it (@jimjackandjose, @mydaughter, @myfather, @myotherdaughter, @neighborkid)

Yea, it is a little different when you are talking about Turkey loads.

Frick it. I just ordered a couple boxes

I shot a 60# sow at about 30yds with apex #9, it broke both front shoulders.

The .410 turkey loads are great

I shot a coyote at 50yds last year with #9 tss and about 20 pellets were lodged beneath the skin on the opposite side. It's bad stuff.

I started hand loading TSS back in 13’. Long before it was commercially available using info found online. TSS is a game changer. My 2 3/4” 20g knocks them over like they were hit by the hand of an angry god.
The weight savings of not lugging a 12g around makes for a much more pleasant day afield.
That said, check the Regs where you plan to hunt. I’m not current and most States allow TSS; but, as of last year a few may not allow you to use anything smaller than #7 shot.
I caught some flak a few years back using #9’s in Nebraska.
The Apex loads are equal to and as good as any reload I’ve ever made. I don’t reload any more because of them.

They are insanely expensive, but gosh damn they will blow a turkeys head clean off at 40 yards and kill them easily at 55+ in my experience. I only kill 2-3 toms a year so a box of five will last me two seasons. That's how I justify spending over $10 a shell

Ordered 4 boxes of # 9’s. Shot a box today, and I can tell you with a Carlson’s long range they are deadly at 35-40 yards. Mallards we’re getting stomped. We had 20 mph winds, and I was shooting cleanup in a corn field. That is why I went with the long rang choke. We did get our limit, but it came down to the wire.
I would suggest Apex’s TSS to anyone that is willing to spend the money. I’ll probably get a case or 2 next year.

You ordered on 1/25 and already got them? If I had known shipping was that fast, I'd have ordered a couple for this weekend. Literally nothing available around here.
ETA: $60 for 10 shells. Nevermind.
