Hahahah yeah sure you can, especially if you’ll also prune them for me!

can I come by and snip those zip ties for you?
After about the 20th zip tie I convinced myself that leaving them uncut was just more stuff for the cucumbers to grab onto haha.

Did you buy the Bonnie variety?
I grew from seed, should be all the same variety since it’s a hybrid I think.

I plan on building box and planting this weekend. I know I am starting late, but what can I plant and still be successful this late. My main vegetables I wanted were bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, and onions.
TIA

We have a long growing season down here. You have plenty of time. How much sun will your plants be getting each day?

Peppers and cucumbers should be good. Green beans too.
Okra will thrive.

agree, soaker hoses suck for raised beds.
Just curious as to why they suck? I bought a timer and soaker hose to use while we’re on vacations this summer. It seemed to work great when I tested it out yesterday.

soaker hoses.
soaker hoses are great if one hose covers all the area you need, like if you just have one raised bed or maybe multiple but using a short hoses for each one (Do they sell short ones?). Or if you have a few rows on ground in a well draining area.

That and they deteriorate pretty quickly.

Gotcha. I’ll use it for the year and next year upgrade.

I dug up all of my soaker hoses and bought a cheap irrigation system off of Ebay for $10.

Probably insects or caterpillars chewing on it. It appears to be on an older leaf. As long as the new growth looks good, prune it off and monitor the new growth for issues. If you can see any bugs that’ll help determine how to treat it. Neem oil will help deter pests. If it’s caterpillars, thuricide or spinosad.

Fungal or bacterial. Treat with peroxide (refer to OP for mixing chart link.)
Also, I would strongly recommend mulching around your plants. It prevents soil from getting on your leaves which could cause disease problems. I used to use wood mulch. Works well, just don’t let it touch the base of the plant. I’ve switched to pine straw and like it better.

Did you use a broadcast spreader? Odds are it’s due to overlap when you spread.

With the beautiful weather today, spent the afternoon in the garden checking in on everything. Haven’t done too many thorough inspections lately. It was due.
First thing, after one feeding from that Sea Grow fertilizer over the weekend, my plants look amazing. I mean, the healthiest and most beautiful they’ve looked all spring. All of the plants are loaded with flowers and fruit. If these results continue, I’ll be buying a lot more.
My sunflowers are over 6-7 ft tall.
Picked a few berries today. The Prime Ark Freedom blackberries are delicious. Not many seeds. I’m loving them. I was expecting bigger fruit, but these were on the smaller canes from last fall. The new canes are much bigger and healthier looking. I imagine I’ll get some bigger fruit this fall.
ChenierauTigre, remember when you laughed at my sad beans? Well, they’re doing much better now. And the cucumbers are really getting going. Starting to get a good amount of flowers.
Peppers (in order of appearance): jalapeño, cayenne, marconi, and California wonder.
I have my first eggplant! No black beauties yet. This one is called shooting stars eggplant.
Roma’s are loaded down and I finally have one in the breaker stage.
Beefmasters are starting to get some size to them.
In the bee world, we did our second inspection this past weekend. They are doing great and really filling out the frames.
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!

Looks awesome.
My 2 Japanese cucumbers have been kicking arse lately, harvested two already and have 3 fruiting on the vine.
Jealous of you and bluemoons peppers, mine have been slow to grow, but have their first set of flowers as of last week.
I'll post some pictures of my small plot soon. Also need some advice on my Cherokee Purples but a picture can show it better than I can explain.

Wow, Pillage, those beans really made a quick turnaround. Of course, all your other stuff looks fabulous too.
Question: Do you ever have problems with possums digging in your garden when you use the fish fertilizer? They love stinky stuff.
