They are generally accurate when using them to predict NFL drafts as well. They are pretty amazingly accurate considering the number of prospects in high school football

Mostly, yes. Most of the guys they rank as 5 stars are really good football players. It's obvious they're really good football players. Saban probably doesn't know how many stars any of the kids he offers have though, it's how you end up with a top 5 pick like Marcel Dareus or Quinnen Williams that were 3 star players. He's a better talent evaluator than you me or Barton Simmons. Any slap dick could tell you that Julio jones was destined for greatness. It takes an eye for talent to consistently be the best though. Saban has sent a pile of guys outside the top 100 to the NFL
