You’re being dishonest.
Cops were undermanned and overrun. Their choice was extreme violence that would probably result in a lot of people getting hurt including themselves and still not stopping the crowd or they hold as long as they can then let the people by - giving congress time to evacuate or shelter in place. Clearly they chose option 2.
The question is who was responsible for security that day? Apparently the pentagon limited the DC Nat guard from making a show of force and prohibited them from being armed or having riot gear. Where did that directive come from? Who heads that department?

Chicken, off topic question: the thread (not mine) on the officer who died was deleted. Was it because of that particular OP or is the topic off limits?

how is that possible when the Mayor of DC was talking for a week about "violent Trump supporters" and them being dealt with. I have never seen Trump supporters be violent at ANY other rally but somehow Bowser predicts violence and yet still isnt prepared? Not buying it, chief.
Also, who controls/manages the Capitol Police?

No there are plenty of videos of the guards opening gates and fences, and even taking selfies with the people.
Of course it was a show, and probably a show within the show. <------- Anyone that doesn't think this was planned at a higher level is an idiot at this point.
What you are talking about is kind of fake news, sure there was probably security not in on the show... so those put up resistance. But many of the security were actively involved.

Exactly. The officers on the ground made the decision of "lives over property." By falling back and giving access to the invaders, they were able to buy time for lawmakers and staffers to move to safety.
Many congressmen are crediting the Capitol police with saving lives. Meanwhile, one of their own was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher.

The mayor does not control the Capitol police.

Not the DC mayor/gov.

So they knew the "angry mob" wouldnt take any lives once inside? They said screw our job, we will just let them in because we know they wont kill anyone that way? Our entire Congress was inside the building, but we just let them in to save lives?
My head hurts trying to rationalize that spin.

I don’t believe I did. Initial post covered nat guard and I answered your question about capitol police. Those are your possible forces at the capitol. DC gov didn’t control. DC asked for Nat guard and pentagon gave them a few unarmed for traffic control.

Have you not seen the video of them attacking the doorway and killing the cop? Throwing flag poles, crutches, hammering cops w batons?

How does being “planned” change any of this?

That's a video on Twitter showing Leo's
Basically holding the door, one can even be heard saying he respected what the people were doing.
Yes, they may have been opting not to engage with force, but the very least they could have done is told people "we are not physically stopping you but you are trespassing and will likely be charged at a later date."

Does that negate all the videos of officers trying to stop people?
Meh, maybe. In short, it makes the Capitol police complicit in the very least.
An analogy, a store clerk catches a shoplifter. The thief says, I’m leaving with this and that’s that. The store clerk says frick it, have at it.
Both are at fault imho.
The difference is that these are police officers with radios and arresting power. As such, there really is NO logical reason for them to have allowed this. NONE.
FWIW, I was / am against going into the Capitol, but at the point shown in the video, they basically were let in...for whatever reason.

It was a coordinated plan to prevent more thorough, in the light of day, evidence being presented that would have debunked the debunking nonsense of team Biden.
The election was stolen. More and more people are seeing the evidence and becoming convinced. The democrats and politicians who supported this fraud are scared.
What is the next shoe to drop?

Yes. Unacceptable and despicable behavior.
Sooooo...where was their back up?
How come the DC police did not respond?
Are you telling me that every cop in DC couldn’t handle a few dozen thugs?
If so, then you have must not have fully experienced Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
This shite makes ZERO sense from a law enforcement level...NONE.
