Because Democratic governors listen to the science and make the hard choices which may be unpopular to you but they SAVE LIVES. Lock down completely, have the national guard administer vaccines via MANDATE, and require EVERYONE to mask and social distance until we have ZERO cases

but then you have Louisiana and Mississippi. Both have basically the same end result in spite of different ways of handling the pandemic.
Obesity is a strong correlation but NYC is not obese and yet they are getting decimated. You could chalk that up to urbanization, which I guess Louisiana is probably more urbanized than MS.
It's all kinda fuzzy, man.
