The easiest solution will never happen. A player’s draft status would have to be negatively affected by “opting out.” Either programs refuse to hold pro days for players that quit, coaches won’t give any kind of endorsement to scouts, and NFL teams hold it against a player.

You know why NFL teams don’t care about players opting out?

Because NFL team PAY their players.

Vs asking them to play for nothing.
