Grown men wearing running shoes with a suit

Running shoes? Not a thing.

Edit: well I’ll be damned, I guess it is a thing. A very dumb thing.

I will say, it’s very common to see people who walk or use public transportation to commute to/from work to wear tennis shoes with a suit, or seeing women in work clothes and tennis shoes. Then you change into your dress shoes once you get to the office. I don’t see a problem with that at all.

Don’t count. That’s basketball shoes.

The end started when suits without a tie became popular. It is a fine look with a sport coat but a tie is part of a suit.

PS super skinny ties are stupid too unless they are worn with an Italian suit in a size that can be bought off the rack in non-tourist centers of Italy. IE non-baw sizes.

I did it last week. Had to go straight from the office to coach basketball practice. Felt like I was auditioning for sportscenter

I agree. You’re not in high school anymore. It’s not edgy. It’s immature.

Had a college professor that would wear suit, new balance tennis shoes and a spongebob tie.

I’m real stubborn when it comes to suits. I’ve done fads here and now, but I always believed that suits should and always be worn as suits. Dress shoes included.


I never forget when one of my g-grandmothers passed away when I was a teenager. One of my first cousins came to the funeral with a black suit with black AF1’s.

Every adult man in the family jumped his arse and how dare you show up disrespecting your g-grandmother like that....And when they were done with him, they turned to my cousins mom (Aunt) about letting your child come dressed like that.
