DB is a position where technique matters. Deion was supremely athletic and a student of the game. His technique was top tier. Try covering Jerry Rice with horrible technique. It ain’t happening.
Jerry ate Deion's lunch plenty of times.
Deion was not a student of the game, that's laughable. He was a freak athlete that ran in the low 4.3s likely and used that to be an elite CB. He also hated tackling, couldn't get off blocks well, and had a me-first attitude.
ETA:
Deion was awesome, not saying he wasn't. But he was awesome because he was so much more athletic than everyone else and so much faster, that he'd bait QBs into bad throws and ball hawk them, could take bad angles and make up for it, etc. Best natural hips ever maybe too.
But if you think he's going to be some great coach, I've got some swamp land for sale

There are plenty of terrible corners who run 4.3/4.4

Deion was one of the first db’s who had film on each receiver. What makes you think he wasn’t a smart football player.
