Way to dig deep for an insightful and original take

The day Jamar Chase opted out was the wind that was taken out of the sails for the entire season.
That told the rest of the team where the mindset was.
I have nothing against his decision as he will still likely be a top ten pick but that was a tough one.
He was the best player on the team and having to cover both him and Marshall would have been a challenge for anyone.
Except for first half of Miss St game, Brennan showed promise buy it's an awful lot to ask two true freshman QB's to win in the SEC right away without a spring practice, a cut up fall practice, and no non conf games to get seasoning with.
And I know that doesn't excuse the performance on defense.

Absolutely agree. The day Chase opted out I smelled trouble.

I mean, Tory Carter has been waking up pissed off yet we still get our shite kicked in every game

Not sure why LSU fans defend chase. As a person I get it and support the young man making his money.
But as an LSU fan if he never stepped foot on campus again I wouldn’t be upset. He let his team down. National Champion or not I care more for players who put the team above themselves. Maybe the game has passed me by as a fan. But I just don’t subscribe to the players first mentality that sports today is all about.

What team? They lost 35 players from the 2019 roster. Every SEC team has more experienced players.

I think that Orgeron lost his mind after the divorce and let everything go to hell. I seriously doubt that Pete Carroll recommended Beau Pelini for DC.

Call it opt out but it is still quitting by any other name. Every player that opted out is a quitter in my opinion. What does committing to playing for your team mean anymore? CFB is done. Stick a fork in it.

Obviously you didn't understand what the second sentence that you didn't quote referenced.

It seems like attitude wise, LSU needed a lot more like Tory Carter. They just weren't there this season.

A lot of factors have been mentioned in many treads, bit I think you can add Championship hangover. We have seen it in the NFL for a long time.
