Correct...maybe
It's a business decision. We hear this over and over again.
To go to the NFL draft early - It does not always work out. (examples upon req.)
Does valuing commitment, meeting your obligations, finishing what you started, mean anything to anyone? Yourself, your current employer, or you potential employer.
Character matters. Lack of it always eventually shows. NFL Gen. Managers I am sure think so.
Let's consider some more factors.
What is best for the young man?
Average length of career in the NFL?
Potential earnings as football player? Not everyone is OBJ.
The Math involved in your first contract is probably your last contract.
Is free room and board, food, and a college education worth anything?
It is a complicated issue...
The debate continues
