This program has never won a national championship and that's the bar you're gonna set. Natty or Will Wade needs to be out? We're showing signs that we could get there but that is certainly a ridiculous bar to set for LSU basketball.

Regular season doesn’t get you an automatic bid, does it?

So the regular season SEC championship is not worth a bid to the tournament. Wow that’s new to me thanks...Assclown lol

Defense, in all areas, needs hard work. Has become a WW trademark, weak defense....

For our program? Sure it is

So now LSU has won significant games. You previously said they didn't. You are knee deep in your own bullshite right here.

But that’s kind of the point. You think Kentucky, Duke, other top programs are playing for regular season titles?

Absolutely they are. 100% of teams have a goal of winning their conference. They also have other goals, but so do we. Even those programs, if their measuring stick every season is championships, or even final 4s, they are failing WAY more than not.

Again. True significance

So now we don't have significant wins again?

How are you consistently one of the dumbest assholes on this board constantly?

If you’d bother to listen to any of Wade’s interviews, or even read other threads on here summarizing them, you’d know that he has admitted many times that their defensive production hasn’t cut it and that they are changing systems and philosophies this year.

Wade is one of the most honest and self-accountable coaches on LSU’s campus. He consistently admits when he is wrong and needs to do better. Hell he just stated last week that he failed Watford last year as a coach and that Trendon should’ve easily been a 1 and done.

But that’s kind of the point. You think Kentucky, Duke, other top programs are playing for regular season titles? Hell no, their aspirations and goals are much bigger than that. And going back to the original point, this program won’t compete for anything more than regular season titles until they fix their defensive issues. Again. True significance. Regular season titles have significance, but things like wins in the tournament is what matters.

Well it’s a good thing for Coach K and Duke that they never had you as a fan making decisions for their program as it took him 6 years to do anything of “significance” according to your standards. He started at Duke in 1980. Didn’t even make the Tournament till year 4 (Wade made it in year 2); didn’t win ACC reg. championship or tournament championship till year 6 (Wade won reg in year 2); and didn’t make a Sweet 16 till year 6, which is same year they went to a Final 4 (Wade’s team went to Sweet 16 in year 2); and K didn’t win a national championship till year 11 (so I guess Wade has still got a little while).

Not to mention that K took over a program coming off an Elite 8 appearance in the tournament and was 2 years removed from a Final 4; and it took him FOUR YEARS to even get back to the tournament. Wade took over a program coming off a 2-16 record in the SEC and hadn’t even won a tournament game in 8 years. So gain some perspective.

And things like wins in the tournament are what counts as significance?? Well, Wade’s team won 2 of them in his second year here and would’ve won at least 1 had there been a tournament this past season.

So bring your idiocy somewhere else.

This is what it’s gonna be, so get used to it. They look exactly the same every year under Wade no matter who the players are.

Duke and Kentucky? Lol Wade is in year 4, he inherited the worst conf record in program history but has still managed to win the SEC in his second season then had us in second on a down year the season after. Compare Wade to the 2 coaches at Duke and Kentucky, Wade won a conf title in year 2, for Coach K it was year 6 before his first conf title for Cal it was year 4. Coach K didn’t win a natty at Duke until year 11, Calipari didn’t win one until 23 years after becoming a head coach. So even if you wanna use unfair comparisons Wade is still outpacing these guys and doing it at a program that’s never had extended success or even played for a national championship.
