The cheating Chinese fricks

Those bitches are in NO WAY 16, even counting from conception, and maybe even from when their parents met.
I think the size makes the biggest difference, especially on the floor. You can see the Americans trying hard to stay in bounds on tumbling passes. No room for error. When the Chinese zygotes tumbled, they all had at least a foot or two to spare, even after huge steps after landing.
How could the IOC trust a communist country's passport as the definitive proof of age?

I agree that these girls were probably no older than 12, but I think that makes it so much more impressive. The fact that they could stand up to the pressure of the Olympics and match the US team physically is very impressive. I don't know if you have kids, but if you do, imagine one of them being 12 or 14 and competing on that stage.

I'm sure having the motivation of keeping mom and dad out of a labor camp helps a ton with that.

Bingo!

The younger, the lighter, the younger, the more nimble. That's why it's such an advantage.
Reminds me of when Taiwan used to have "kids" with mustaches in the Little League World Series in the 70s.

It is rather odd how their women athletes in gymnastics and swimmimg look like little girls but the men's team don't look like little boys.

Then propose an alternative to determining their age? I'm sure there isn't one that would keep you from bitching and moaning.

Saw them in half and count the rings? Aye, better not give the Chinese any ideas.

The rule should be changed to you can't compete unless you have all your permanent teeth. Two of them had teeth missing. No way they were 16.

Wasn't one of the 6'7 kids on a Saudi team? His dad was like military or something?

It's the opposite. They don't know the pressure yet. Even Bella Corrolli(sp) said the younger and more inexperienced gymnasts tend to not crack under pressure as much b/c they don't fully know about how much pressure it is.

I have 2 kids, and I'm sure if from the time they were 3, they were thrown into a gymnastics labor camp and trained for ten years all day they'd be okay.

...I agree...most of them were 12 - 13 at the most...plus, they were whisked away from their families at around age 3 and have been "training" in full government sponsored no cost 24/7 gymnastics "schools" ever since, so , even if they are only 12 or 13, thats 10 yrs plus of 24/7 - 365 training.
The IOC Rule also stipulates the gymnast "must turn age 16 in the calendar year the Olympics are held"..So , maybe they all just turned 16 last month! Ha! Its a joke...I swear - one of those gals ( you know which one I mean ) couldn't possibly have been more than 10 -11...So friggin' obvious. But hey - they can fake the fireworks overheads camera shots, and fake the little girl singing, so they can fake the gymnasts age...All for thr glory of the Motherland! But - bottom line - our gals messed up in last round with falls and out-of-bounds, so what you gonna do?
