As long as they are spending it to enhance the system, yes. As I said, Brec is the only thing this parish does right and doesn’t seem to be misappropriating funds.

Regarding my term “mostly” it’s becUse the system has dozens of community parks across the parish and I don’t visit them all. The ones I do visit are great- Perkins Road Park, Brooks Park, Burbank soccer park, Highland Road park and on and on. They’ve done a great job with them.

Could be worse. Should be much better with the money they’re sitting on.

BREC is only doing this because they are flushed with cash and have to spend it. I hope all of you remember this waste next time BREC comes at you with a millage.

This is not okay. That's $100 million that needs to go into the parks.

Maybe time for a big amphitheater finally?

Will there be any live animals? They seem to have a problem with keeping them alive. They need to spend 90 million of that on a bad arse train. frick walking my fat arse all around that hot zoo. I just go for the train.

Never understood why we need an Atchafalaya Swamp exhibit in Baton Rouge.

Can't you just drive across the bridge, get out your car and look around?

Brec has nice parks , good for sports and outdoors recreation
Needs to learn from Colorado , Austin

Enrol needs to stop with construction of new library. Design should be more castle vampire theme.

The bulk of this is Greenwood Park. The zoo itself is getting a few lights in a handful of habitats. Project was out for construction bid last week. Good architect working the project, but, very very little work being done on the zoo itself.

I think they should have built new at Cortana Mall. Still would have been "north side of town", but much more centrally located and more convenient. Could have gotten the site for a song after the Amazon deal fell thru, and even Dillard's would have probably signed on and let them have their space.

The mall forgets that water only scares people away if there is swimming involved.
