I don't blame him for this loss. The loss was truly a team effort, or lack there of. But the debate is over as to who should be the starter. It's Brennan by a mile. Finley will be ready one day. But not now.

The point of the OP is not to rag on Finley, but to call out those who jumped to calling him the GOAT after one performance. That's worse for TJ than criticism.

The shot is being fired at idiots on this board who were touting the kid as God’s gift to LSU football. I don’t think anyone is knocking TJ. We’re all aware he’s a true freshman and has some growing to do. He’s just not better than Brennan, RIGHT NOW. Will he be one day? I guess we’ll see has he grows.

That performance had me thinking that I was watching "The film" of Brandon Harris vs. Auburn in his freshman season when everyone thought he was our savior.
