What I have learned from this thread is that people will pay a lot of money for a bunch of stupid worthless crap.

my Mom and Dad have started making serious money with flipping shite from garage sales

they are both retired and were just looking for a hobby and whatnot, but now are easily making $2-3K a month

my Dad being a carpenter, they mostly buy old furniture and fix it up and flip it

pretty amazing that they can buy an old table for $10 and sell it for $500

Cool.

I buy and sell rare vintage American made tobacco pipes. Mostly 1915 to 1950. That is my hobby business plan.

[except I almost never sell them]

For the items marked "selling", is this like Storage Wars where every piece of junk they pull out of the locker is priced at ridiculous amount that nobody would actually pay?

How do you do most of your selling (eBay, Etsy, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, pawn shops, consignment, etc.)? Just curious.

There's a reason I stick with collectible cards, frick having to deal with the shipping on most of those items.
