Sure.. we’ve had plenty of broken coverage plays and they’re inexcusable. He’s been a poor hire for sure but I forgot what a real defense looked like until seeing UGA’s. They’re playing with so much grit and attitude and they’re so physical. They’re not doing so well because of their scheme. It’s all about their attitude and physicality. We could be the same way but we have NO thumpers! No one wants to lead and no one wants to be ‘that guy’.

Doing well because they’re in position to make tackles.

Hard to be a thumper when you don’t have a fricking clue where you belong.

They bought their own hype and think they’re already champions playing in the NFL. No heart or leadership coupled with the worst coordinator in the SEC and you get a defense on pace to be the worst in the history of the SEC.

You'll be loving Bo before the end of the season. I think the light bulb is about to come on with this D.

The good news is we honestly can not play worse than we have been. If this team can understand assignment and play football instead of thinking then we will be playing much better

I’ll completely blame Bo for the ridiculously bad coverage. That’s 100% on him, but there’s no way I’m blaming the LBer play on him. It’s not that complicated to tackle a RB and play with a set

True. But we’re going to play much tougher competition. So the upcoming defeats could even be worse.

I think what you’re seeing is a defense that is confident and knows their assignments. A bad scheme that’s executed well >>> a good scheme that’s executed poorly.

(I’m not saying UGA’s scheme is bad, just making a point.)

Our players effort could absolutely be better on defense, but I think that is more of a product of them being frustrated with not knowing their job and the mass confusion on almost every play.

You're ridiculously wrong on this. UGA's defense was massively talked about in the offseason about it being some incredible #1 defense in the country type shite. I heard and saw it everywhere. Honestly, I believe they just don't play any higher powered offenses which in turn will make it seem better (I said the same last week when they harped on what they did vs Tennessee and Auburn).

The only people that expected LSU to have this great defense was Ed O and all the crazies who believed him. No Bo is a major problem, not "thumpers".

Blaming his scheme? Hell no, we are blaming his ability to coach D against modern offenses.

Our defense doesn’t even know who they are supposed to cover. This is historically bad.

What is Alabama's excuse? They had no opt outs, many returning players, no Pelini, and Georgia QB sucks too !!
