Can’t remember their handles. I searched, to no avail. Communicated a bit but my son was too young to bother people about it. Now he’s about to finish his 8th grade football season and he’s making goals for the summer.

Thinking I just take him to a Kohl’s showcase and get him on the 2025 board. Make some contacts, see where that goes.

Just looking for some advice or if anyone knows the TD names of guys who can give it, I’d really appreciate it.

Two more games to get through before I can breathe easy, but he’s already talking about camps/showcase. Toughest game of the season on Thursday and he’s QB, kick/punt returner, kicker, punter...so lots of nervous plays before we’re in the clear fior this year.

Good leg and extension for an 8th grader. Going to Kohl's is good exposure. Flexibility is key. I used to do yogalates 3 days a week to help.
If he wants to kick in college, I would recommend going from 2" block to 1" by junior year and then kick off the ground (if coach let's him) for senior year.
There's little things you can do at home to get muscle memory like kicking a marked pad against a column, taping a target on the ground to get a consistent plant foot, one step kicks, etc.

Check out hammer kicking academy. My son is a long snapper. We have been to Rubio/sailor for years. A couple of years ago we were contacted by Adam ( can't remember last name) about his camps. Hands down the best and cheapest we have been to.

Eta: look up Hammer kicking academy top 40 he has in Orlando every summer. It's pretty impressive with the coaches and their live feeds.

Tell your son, to enjoy himself PLEASE!! I kicked in college and I was the starter for 4 years.

The one thing I regret is that I put so much pressure on myself that I forgot to have fun. If he develops and really gets good, they will find him.

I may hold off on going to any showcases this early, only because those places are loaded. I get that you want to compete against the best, but sometimes that could backfire.

BEST OF LUCK!
