On the interception return?
My memory hasn’t been great lately so if I am forgetting a memorable time this happened I am sorry

Not sure if most recent, but Miami of Ohio 1986, I think Chris Carrier. Everything went wrong that game, beat A&M in upset, had a week off, then we are 21 point favorites and rain and a very good QB beat us, 21-12.
Also FWIW we in uk (1990?) int a pass in end zone and run it back 20-30 yards only to have committed holding in the end zone. The result, UK gets a safety and the ball back. T Kinchen bailed us out late with a PR and we still won.

Not LSU, but one of rhe craziest football plays I’ve ever seen is when Drew Brees threw an int against the Re*skins and Robert Meachem stripped it from the DB and scored a touchdown.

Dear heavens! PLEASE do not remind me of that game! It was my freshman year and I was in Tiger Band. I was ill for several days after that game. (Ronnie Lewis can also bite my arse.)

Please man, shut the hell up.
I am superstitious about asking questions like that - do you really want to jinx LSU tomorrow?

I had him in one of my classes LOL. Fans were always on his @ss. Its what happens when you go 5-17 for field goals.

Take one part Brian Bosworth, one part Pee Wee Herman and one part Sigmund Freud and you have Louisiana State place-kicker Ronnie Lewis. Lewis apologized "to the university, my teammates and coaches" for making obscene gestures to fans who booed him in a 21-12 loss two weeks ago to Miami of Ohio. But Lewis, in his first words to reporters in six weeks, refused to apologize to the fans sitting in the student section of Tiger Stadium. "I had enough of my being booed and the team being booed," he said. "The fans need to show me a little class. I decided if they were going to treat me like dirt I would show them what I think of fickle fans. They have to be the hardest fans to play for in the Southeastern Conference.

James Gilyard did this in 1994 against Southern Mississippi. He actually tried to lateral to one of his teammates who wasn't in on James' plan.

LaFell caught one and threw it to the other team

iami of Ohio 1986,
Worse thing it was on 3rd and long, they would have punted the ball to us. Instead they got a new set of downs and basically ran out the clock.

Anybody else immediately think of Miami vs OSU BCS title game?

This is the play that popped into my mind too. I believe it was a thanksgiving game. Probably the best play Meachem made in the black and gold.

Only problem - it was called back for a penalty.
