IDGAF about RVW at this moment...
That is to say, it's something I feel deeply about, but the focus is filling the seat.
Any RVW shite the dims try to stick to this should be immediately dismissed as conjecture and distraction by both the GOPe and the nominee.

all easily legislated and decided at the STATE LEVEL
I don’t think a state should be able to make a life saving medical treatment illegal. You do. That’s ok, we disagree on the extent of federal regulation in this case.

It’s a winning issue for babies though.
Maybe.
There will be an explosion in black market abortions.

Libs love “muh science” except when it comes to topics like when life begins, the number of genders, “Man made” climate change (arson), and Nanshy’s resting blood alcohol content.

Yeah, it’s not going to play well here in Colorado.
It gives the issue back to the states. It would not result in an outright prohibition of abortion nationwide.
Colorado would still have abortions
Posted on 9/19/20 at 1:16 pm to Huge Richard
we can abort most of the adult democrats, if they prefer

you understand that all repealing roe v. wade would do is throw the abortion issue back to individual state jurisdiction so if you blood thirsty phaggots in colorado want to keep mudering babies you're free to do so.
are all Coloradans as uninformed as you?
I understand that, but that still doesn’t play well out here.

are your people this stupid? all row v wade will do is kick it back to the states. states can still choose to endorse abortions. some can ban it. no more federal oversight or endorsement.
I know what it is, god damnit, I’m just saying people out here are still very much for it.

We should be judged by how we treat our most vulnerable. I’ve heard the hypocrisy of the left many times. Time to see what they really believe

Majority of women are pro life.
Vast majority of citizens are against 3rd trimester unless mom is physically dying.
That is where it should probably go. Ban 3rd trimester (very few) unless physically dying and kick the rest back to the states to deal with. Elective abortions past 25 weeks people do not support. This can be a winning issue if you dont get extreme.
If you want to ban all of them then be prepared to have plan B and birth control pills easily available to the public for free.
I would go free plan b and birth control and limited abortion areas nationally with zero elective abortions after 20 weeks unless mom is dying.
Someone convince me this is wrong. I want to hear others.
The progressives want abortion on demand thru delivery and after. I disagree bigly with that. The righties would say no birth control of plan b....but I would give into those to get get fewer abortions.

The federal government probably lacks the constitutional authority to make this law.
Planned Parenthood v. Casey (our current abortion law) isn’t prohibitive. It is a limit on state actions against individual choice.

So that option isnt possible? It's either all or none?
Help me out.

you can always travel to another state that allows abortion.

It means what I said. A woman comes into the ED at 20 weeks with a BP of 210/120. The fetus is not viable out of the womb and medications failed. The mother has two choices, abort the pregnancy or die. I believe in those situations that a decision to abort the pregnancy should not lead to arrest of a physician or the mother. Apparently some people here disagree.

This is exactly it!! Roe vs Wade is a Supreme Court decision - not legislation - the states should be able to handle this how their constituents want
Posted on 9/19/20 at 1:54 pm to Huge Richard
im not really against abortion i just dont think it should be shoved in young womens faces as reproductive rights and that having several abortions is just birth control.
Oh and the fact that democrats want to be able to kill the baby as long as its toe is still inside.

There are rare instances where terminating a pregnancy is life saving for the mother. You can’t criminalize physicians who decide terminating the pregnancy of a dying preeclamptic woman is in their best interest and offer it as a treatment option.
...people on the right believe that a mother unnecessarily dying during pregnancy was all a part of Gods plan for her.
I've lived in the south and been a republican - that also goes to church every Sunday - my entire life... I've never ONCE heard anyone say or espouse this.
NOBODY wants to make medically-necessary abortions illegal, or criminalize the doctors that perform them; at least nobody that I've ever had contact with in any way.
I don't think you're a liberal/Dem based on the context, but this is the kind of misinformed view of pro-life people they run around and villainze people with. Because pro-choice people have a misunderstanding of what the opposing side actually wants and is saying, the two sides will always be at odds.
Most people on the Right that want to overturn RvW simply want to take it back to a state's right to decide and remove the federal government and constitution from the equation. Your misinformed views only serve to further the left's incorrect opinion of us.

Yup, uncontrollably hypertensive in an ICU and they’ll just have you head a few hundred (or maybe thousand) miles to another hospital in a state where these rare cases aren’t illegal to treat. Brilliant.
