Louisiana needs to seriously consider moving away from having NOLA be the defining attribute of the state and centerpiece of the state.

The state needs a radical makeover and transformation. It needs to be defined by its fast growing and increasingly wealthy suburbs in Jefferson parish and Lafayette.

Let Nola rot.

To be fair I think this is probably true for all cities in the US, at least ones run by Democrats.

In fairness, 2019 was a major outlier.

this. I came here to say it but it was already said. Louisiana needs good strong leadership across the board from city to state level.

Yes it was. 2018 has 146 and we have over 3 months to go. I know we can do it if we try!

I really don't think that a couple of good leaders can change the behaviors of murderers. And one man in DC can not stop the spread of a virus.

The damage done by continually electing Dimocrats for decade after decade has taken its toll. This kind of damage cannot be reversed in the course of years.....it will take much longer......if it can ever happen.

Liberalism truly is a disease.

This. In 2019, NOLA saw the lowest murder rate in 50 years.

Once again, the OT reveals its mastery of statistical misinterpretation.
