Because the Teacher's Union's have politicized education so much, they'd rather fight to have them sit at home and get paid and never teach kids.

EBR schools are a make work program for teachers. That is their main concern. It's the reason people pay over $10,000/year to get their kids out of there.

Life in Karen’s America means understanding that all the old rules and social norms are gone and you better prepare Yourself and your family accordingly. That includes understanding that the LAST priority of the teacher’s union is your kids.They aren’t even going through the motions anymore.

This argument is completely ignorant, but you and your upvoters would likely choose that hill to die on.
The real reason is litigation risk aversion. Parents are sue happy. They will sue a school system if little Johnny gets a hangnail at PE.
