I disagree with Trump on this one. Europeans tired of massacring each other and the infusion of fresh, American, troops pretty much did the trick.

Both sides were exhausted ... running out of men and materiel, with the Central Powers feeling it somewhat worse.

Then the Americans dumped a load of both men and materiel into the hands of the Allies. End of story.
