I’m 10 minutes in and the graphics and overall look and feel for the game is unbelievable. I’m waiting to get to the parts I’m gonna start hating this game. I tried to stay away from spoilers.

Crud. I like this place a lot better when Fox isn't around.

Don’t read the thread until you’re done. Form your own opinion of the game

I finished it last week. 4 out of 5 for me
The writing isn’t even the biggest issue (though it’s a big one). The game is way too long, about 10 hours longer than it needed to be. So many repeat encounters that just destroy the pacing. You clear out a neighborhood of human enemies in an epic combat area in Seattle, then have to do it all again in another neighborhood. You’ll spend 30 minutes meticulously clearing out a scary infected area, get out, then get thrown into another one. The impact is severely lessened because of this. By the end I practically wanted to just sprint to the end of the combat zones and find the door I needed to hold Triangle for. It was that exhausting (at least on Survivor. Maybe it was fun/quicker on easier difficulties, but Survivor demands a slow and careful approach because it’s 2 shots and you’re dead)
Lot of narrative and and structural issues, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as people said. The game could’ve been an all-timer like the first if they had done a few things differently, but alas, it just ended up being a very good game. Mechanically sound, top notch production quality, and second-to-none cinematically, but writing and pacing bring it down quite a bit

dont hate the game. gameplay mechanics are great. acting is well done. story is good but they dont spoon feed exactly what people expected.

I also stayed away from spoilers and anything about the game and after I finished it I had to look up what people had issues with. It’s a fine game.

I m one of the very few that enjoys the game very much. I agree they went all in with the shock value and ultimately you’re left with a bad taste in your mouth. I’m not sure how I feel about the story. I get what they were going for but the story fell short mostly because the characters that were loved in the first game were pretty much spit on with little to no value as far as how much they brought to what could have been a great ending. Despite it going off the deep end. I enjoyed the game overall but the story could have been much better
