I kind of feel like he won't be here much longer.
I hope it works out for the kid here. I remember during his recruitment, he was all about LSU, and there was absolutely no ambiguity about where he wanted to sign.

Believe it or not, a lot guys don’t play until at least their 3rd year as OL in the SEC. Outside of QB, it’s probably the hardest place to come in and start right away. The physicality of the trenches takes a while for most guys to adjust to but getting the mental and technical aspects of the game can be just as hard. Kardell needs to be patient. His time will come if he just keeps working everyday.

Thomas is just a redshirt freshman with a couple of monster OG's in front of him in Ingram and Hines. Depending on whether Ingram and Hines go pro or not after this season, he and/or Bradford could be starting next season. A lot of other seasons he would already be a starter.

80 snaps a game is ridiculous to expect that Hines and Ingram don’t sit out 30+ snaps
NEW LSU STANDARD OL 50 SNAPS A GM
Injuries happen when you run big bulls to their limits — Coach Cregg didn’t coach that HIGHLY SUSPECT (LOL) 2019 Line to win a Moore Award by being stupid.
Coach will assemble the Best Starters and he will assure the SUBs have snap experience being a cohesive unit.
WATCH BRADFORD & THOMAS BOTH GET THEIR SNAPS

1. He's just a RS Fr 2. Ingram and Hines are absolute studs and Jr's 3. I Always thought his body needed remaking, he always looked very top heavy to me. 4. Everyone loved those camps with him being a bully, to me they showed immaturity and There are no bullies in the SEC, everybody is a grown man. 5. That bullshite he's been doing on social media shows his immaturity.....i REALLY hope it works out but LSU will be fine

Ummm not sure what you are talking about, but the OL doesn't really rotate that much.
Last year the only two that rotated were Magee and Ingram. The other rotation at LT was forced by suspensions, not by choice. Normally the others(Cush, Deculus, Lewis) played every snap. While they may rotate a little bit more this year, Cregg isn't going to have his starting OGs sitting on the bench for close to 40% of the snaps. Especially considering this OL will need every rep together that they can get.

Playing them sparingly until their junior year is he ideal. Once in a blue moon a young OL comes along who is just too good to keep off the field. But the great majority of the time when you see a youngster starting on the OL it's due to injury or suspension.
