Not a single healthy, current athlete in the World

Has died from Covid 19.
In the fricking World.
The closest you can get is a 21 year old coach who had fricking cancer, and a 28 year old fat arse Sumo Wrestler.
That's it. That's every single athlete or former athlete in the frickING WORLD under the age of 40 who has died.
Don't cower. Go after your AD's in mass email refusing to accept them cowering like liberal pussies. It's unacceptable.
There is zero reason to not play this season. For any sport. The players are not going to die. None have. On Earth.

Sumo wrestler

Maybe. Those Sumo guys are big as frick though. Like obese as hell. Be hard to move them.

Ok. But what about the athletes kids, parents, uncle's, aunt's, cousins that that have potential underlying health issues they can spread it to? It's a bigger picture.I vote right. But I even had to realize the Republicans dropped the ball on this virus. Look at how the European countries are doing compared to America. Had we done what they did we would have a season no doubt.

He was short, but lets not act like he was any fatter than some offensive linemen out there.

If they're using swim moves, rip moves, and spin moves for sure. Bull rush? I don't know

It's better to be safe than sorry.

They are in school. This argument is insanely stupid. They live on campus, not with their parents. Kids are all but immune to it so that is not remotely a concern to anyone rational. Test weekly, if you get it don't go to your parents house. Really, really that easy.
Republicans? The most deaths in our country by a large, large scale was New York. Liberal as hell.

The healthy need to get this disease, the old and immunocompromised are screwed that in now or 5 months from now. The healthy need to get this so a herd immunity is developed.

Shutting down sports isn't about the athletes, it's about the fatasses in the stands.
You ever watch a game between Tennessee and Mississippi State and look into the stands?
Good lord.
It's like everyone got to their seat riding a Rascal cart.

A lot of offensive linemen have very low body fat.

I appreciate this point, but it's not the only thing sports leagues are considering when trying to decide whether or not to play. There are other effects the virus has on people. I am very curious (as are the sports leagues I'm sure) if physically healthy young adults will have some of these same lingering effects.
‘Concerning increase’ of coronavirus-related inflammatory brain condition, study finds
Though the condition mostly affects children, researchers are seeing a rise in adults
Scientists warn of potential wave of brain damage linked to Covid-19
quote:
Among patients hospitalized for Covid-19 in Wuhan, China, more than a third experienced nervous system symptoms, including seizures and impaired consciousness. Earlier this month, French researchers reported that 84 percent of Covid patients who had been admitted to the I.C.U. experienced neurological problems, and that 33 percent continued to act confused and disoriented when they were discharged.
quote:
Some recovered patients report breathlessness, fatigue and body pain months after first becoming infected. Small-scale studies conducted in Hong Kong and Wuhan, China show that survivors grapple with poorer functioning in their lungs, heart and liver. And that may be the tip of the iceberg.
