Chris Hilton is underrated

He’s a state high jump champion as a Soph!
Chris Hilton Article — State High Jump Champion
“My goal coming in was to clear 7 feet,” Hilton said. “It took having enough speed coming into the curve. I felt it was a good one going around the curve.” The sophomore cleared each height on his first attempt, including his meet-record/national best 7-0. He missed three attempts at 7-2, which would have set a facility record.
Hilton blew Superdome roof off vs West Monroe
As a Soph, On 3rd and 10, time running out, Hilton took an 80 yard screen pass to the house to seal the win for State Champs Zachary. Those in the Dome that evening won’t forget.
Saban has been highly invested in recruiting Chris and took the commitment loss very hard, we’re happy to report. Saban’s latest sales job includes mentioning Bobby Bowden retired at 80 (and Saban’s looking to smash that record). We can only hope Sabah sticks around in his 70’s — Orgeron will have fun!
Zachary went 10-3 in 2019 losing to Acadiana in the playoffs without a solid QB to lead them
TRUTH — Chris Hilton is a Top 5 WR
Currently ranked 8th, Hilton is underrated due to his 6’ - 175 frame and a right foot injury that needed surgery along with a lackluster JR year. He’s a 2-yr S&C Project with blazing 4.4 speed and separation skills to have him starting and catching Johnson/Finley/Nuss passes in 2022 and beyond.
Chris Hilton is a must watch this HS FB Season. There’s a reason he’s the LA # 1 ranked WR — Watch!

Perceived upside is a lot of the eval and rankings. Kids with combo of average size and a little above average speed just don’t dominate these recruiting rankings much
I do agree he has a lot of upside in terms of improving his overall speed because his explosive athletic traits and genetics are there (parents were collegiate sprinters supposedly).
I’m not saying he’s OBJ but his makeup is similar. OBJ obviously wasn’t running 4.3 at Newman, he physically matured and all of his explosive athletic traits and genes allowed him to get faster

I think he’s a stud but give me Thomas all day over him. People I trust that have seen both say Thomas is absolutely a freak and unstoppable at high school level

Yeah Thomas is def the top prize but you need both in todays offense
That's what made chase and Jefferson so good

Man....it’s gonna be insane when we’ve got kayshon, chris, and jojo all out there together. There’s not gonna be a team in the country with defenders that can keep up with two of them, let alone all 3....

Add the TEs — Don’t forget your TEs
Add the RBs — Don’t forget John Emery, etc
That’s 1/4 or more of your passing
6 TDs a game is NEW LSU STANDARD

Of course he is. Boutte was underrated all last year until they finally gave him his props by making him the #2 WR.
I still laugh at the #5 RB ranking Guice got the year he came out. We all saw it, but they couldn't?

Please don’t forget about # 6. That TD he scored to clinch the natty was amazing. Hope to see him healthy all season and do some damage on the field.

This is simply wrong. They had a four year starter at qb who signed with Memphis this year. Won a couple state championships and found his way on some all-state lists

Agreed. K. Brown was far from average.
