Best hog bait

What is the best way to bait hogs to a hunting spot? I want to set up a stand to hunt them, and I don't want to worry about deer or coons eating the bait. I have heard of sour corn with grape or cherry jello pack sprinkled on it is good. Also corn soaked in diesel keeps deer and coons away. I have also heard that you should not get blood on the ground in a trap bc the hogs won't come back. Is that true with shooting them over bait piles?

I have heard people say this, but not sure if it works.

I have never heard this, but I've shot hogs dead out of a stand only to have others come back and eat right next to their dead friend 30 seconds after they scattered. I've also had them come back to the same spot the next day, so I don't know if I'm buying this one.

Get a few buckets with lids fill 3/4 with corn add a beer or two and top off with water and let it sit for a few days and sour up. It’s nasty as hell but they’ll climb over each other to get it

i have a 25 gal drum filled with corn, water, sugar and beer sitting behind my shop. Ill dig a hole and dump it in there a day before or the day i go hunting.
They hit my corn feeders nightly so they are usually coming anyway.
The last 2 weekends ive dropped one at the feeder and they havent missed a night in almost 3 weeks. Back the next day

I prefer to use in order changing bait after each kill
dry corn
soured corn (5 gallon bucket 3/4 corn and fill with water cap and let sit in sun for 5 days. no reason to waste beer)
corn and soda (pour out dry corn and use a 2L bottle of cheap pinapple, strawberry, or apple soda to spray it all down. Get some on the bushes around there too as it gets the smell in the air)
wait a few days and repeat cycle.
blood will deter sows with piglets some but the big boars will actually come to it and root it up.

I have used 100 lbs of corn and put 5 gallon of Hawaiian Punch covered in a barrel for 5 days. They find it pretty quick

wouldn't worry much about blood. I keep a jug of the molasses or other "pig jam" type product on hand just in case I have a large amount of blood in my trap. Ill pour it on top of the blood pile just to mask it.
Ive tried corn and diesel when I was having too many deer set off my traps and it didn't work. Good thing is that if you have a heavy pig population and they find the bait, they will dominate the area. Ive found deer find the bait first but pigs will take over.
Coons are gonna eat your bait no matter what. Ive ben soaking my corn lately just because I was having too many big pigs passing up the trap and wanted more scent. I just think they are too weary

Go to a donut shop and scoop up all the day old donuts...

add a beer or two
I've heard of folks doing this so that the yeast speeds up fermentation. If you're using cheap macro beer (such as natty light) all of the yeast is filtered or pasteurized out. I always add a packet or two of cheap bread yeast to mine in lieu of beer.

Get a bucket and pour corn and pour a couple liters of cheap arse root beer the night before.
Put lid on.
Take out with you next hunt and go early and dump on the ground.
They'll find it quick if they have been on your camera.

This has worked for me. Pigs showed up within 24 hours in my trap after using diesel.

Anyone remember when it was illegal to bait hogs with sweet taters or red rice?

Thanks for the replies, and input. I will give several of these a try.
