How long will he be out while going on his mission? Does this give us a shot at Xavier Nixon?

That what I thought. So technically he wont touch death valley untill 2011. Are they gonna count 1 of those years as a red shirt or will he stillhave 5 seasons?

There is an exception for missons. I'm not sure the exact rule. At most he would burn a red shirt and basically have six to play four. It might be seven to play four.

They take their RS year, then go for 2 year mission, return for 4 years of eligibility

They will train (to the best of their ability) and they should be fine upon return.

There is a rumor he and Richard Wilson will do their mission immeadiately, not after a year of school.

And I'm sure their not training/eating like they would at school so yeah they will probably lose some size.

This is why Pete Carroll thinks missions often hurt kids, because a lot of times they come back really out of shape

I think Petey is required to say this, being the Anti-Christ and all.

Those kids won't be lifting or eating well. The two years are devoted to the church and they can be placed in a third world country where there’re no weights or good food.

Not to mention, off the top of my head it seems like a lot of kids that go on missions don’t stay at the school they originally signed with or attended. (Ben Olsen, Hatch…)
