C19 struck one of our meat plants, killed owner

There is a popular meathouse/processing place in the Jackson area. I went three months ago to get some sausage (It's not the one in Rankin County) and noticed there were no precautions. No mask, a dozen people piled up on top of each other at the register, and so on. I went a few weeks after that but the only precaution was allowing a few people inside at a time but that was it.
Fast forward to two weekends ago. The plant announces on FB that well um, you see, um, four employees have the virus. Turned out they knew for one to two weeks and didn't tell the customers or shut down.
Then the owner's wife, 52 yo, died the next day. It turned out she had been hacking for over a week. Friends and family told her to go to the doctor but she would say she had pneumonia and would get over it. Husband finally told her they were going to ER that Saturday. She died as they got into the truck.
Another case of we don't need no precautions, we are out in the country, we are young, it can't happen to us.... until it does.
The store immediately shut down but did reopen yesterday, eight days later.

Did the husband get it?

Sorry that the lady died, but being part of the .3% doesn’t mean the rest of us have to willingly totally destroy all facets of our lives.

I see the point that you are try to make but the reality is that this poor lady waited far too long to get medical care.

Just goes to show you, if you're that old lady you're at risk of dying while getting into the truck.

Ok. Shop somewhere else.
And are you always this fricking dramatic?
An older person died of the Covid? Shocking!!

She never should have gotten in the truck. I bet it was a Ford.

No. I think a truck killed her. Pay attention.

I've never heard it called this. Is this what the kids are calling it?

I could be wrong but I believe C19 is an old old wooden ship used in the civil war

Bought over $300 worth of meat there two weeks ago. Will buy from again! Also know the family. Very hard working and good people.

that’s a terrible story and all, but a lot of bullshite and generalizations. Specifically, “we are young”. You cannot link me a study proving this fact incorrect: anyone under the age of 25 is 2x as likely to do die from the common flu.
I’ll wait

Except the person that died was 52 & one could assume didn’t take care of herself if she thought she could self treat pneumonia
If you are concerned please stay home & take all the precautions you need to take to feel safe
But don’t expect everyone else to cater to your needs
