With all of the Corona virus hysteria I've been working every other day from home. My job uses Teams for most all of our meetings now and I'm looking for a good headset or earbuds. I see certain headsets advertised as Teams compatible but does that really matter? I've read Airpods don't work the smoothest with Teams.

My AirPods work fine, but you have to connect them to your computers Bluetooth. It took me a second to get it all switched and connected, but it works fine.
Not sure what “Teams Compatible” means. MS Teams just uses whatever audio devices are present on your computer.

Jabra makes some good headsets. Company buys them for us.

My work gave us all that evolve headset. It’s a good headset for work.
I personally just use teams on my phone or iPad and use my AirPods now that I’m working from home

Thanks for all the recommendations. Using AirPods would be the easiest but wanted to make sure they would work properly when using my laptop and the Teams app on the computer.

Doesn't your laptop include a built in mic and sound? What is the purpose of the wired mic/headphones?

If your work area is not super quiet it can be difficult to hear what is going on. Headsets can help with that.

Any USB or Bluetooth headset connected to your PC should work fine.

I have a 4 year old Plantronics BT600 and it works fine with Teams.

Idk OPs situation at home but during quarantine I had 2 dogs, 2 adults, and a toddler at home.. it isn't always that simple. Headphones and the mute button were clutch even though I have an office at home.

I’ve done Teams video on my laptop and iPhone and used my AirPods on all of them. Some people had trouble hearing me when I was on the laptop. So take that for what it’s worth. When I’ve done Skype meetings, WebEx, and zoom calls on the laptop no one had issues hearing me.
