Yes he was a slave owner, but in that time, what white man of power wasn't. it was just how history was. obviously if a man like jackson existed today, he would likely not have the same ideals. the country was built on these ideals sadly. every leader this country has come from the same background. we can't revise our history. it doesn't mean that those men that built and defended the country shouldn't be celebrated because of the times they lived in. that's not really fair to them
Seems easy to understand to any rational human being.
The media fed grevience industry believes slavery only existed in 17th-18th century North America.

The death of all whites is the endgame. And it will happen. 1804 haitian genocide style where they completely wiped out the white population including their allies and collaborators.
Note that this event also severely damaged southerners perception of blacks, and the idea of freeing them was laughable. They obviously were capable and willing to go full hitler, so why would you ever free them?

You’re comparing enslaved black Hatians from 220 years ago to black Americans in 2020? GTFO
You’re just as bad as the people who want whites today to pay for slave owners from the past. Every group in history committed some kind of atrocity against some other group.

They rebelled and murdered BECAUSE they were slaves who wanted freedom. It’s not like they went crazy after being set free voluntarily.

Also kind of creepy to have a color named “flesh” like if maroon was “blood”

So put it in a museum so people who actually are interested in history will be able to learn from it. Nobody gives a shite what the LSU library is called. Nobody praised who it was named after. Nobody cared until the thought of removing a racist memorial was expressed and now all of a sudden a bunch of rednecks care about history.
One would argue the fact they are placed around would encourage discourse. What are the chances many people who complain about the. Would make it to a museum. Or if someone from out of town traveling through would stop at the museum in every town they go to.
How many museums do you go to on a trip or vacation.
Leaving then out with the plaques and explanations I could argue would do more to remember the last and less likely to repeat it.

How about you just stop giving a frick about preserving a really shitty part of our history?
It is not our job to judge history, it is our job to learn from it.
