Jessica tells Ghost Bryce in the last group scene that it was all his fault because he raped Hannah, but in actuality, if Bryce hadn't raped Jessica, most everything wouldn't have spiraled, either.

I struggled though the first episode this season. Pretty bad.

They literally threw every possible outcome for the teenage high school experience at the viewer, save the tranny identity crisis. I am quite literally SHOCKED that they didn't take the opportunity to lift up some poor, mentally-ill kid as some kind of hero because their brain is broken and they can't recognize whether they were born male or female.

This might be the worst season of a show I have ever seen.

I'm almost convinced that half the school identifies as gay.

Yeah, despite actual numbers showing a 3-5% homosexual population, the messaging is crystal clear in almost all media these days: "Gay people are everywhere. Maybe even in your mirror."

That kind of grooming/seeding is pervasive, yet a happy puppy wearing a police costume is painted as indoctrination to be submissive to the police. Drag Queen Story Hour must go on, though!

My biggest gripe with the series is that it morphed into the writers attempting to pack in practically every possible HS experience into one class' 4 years. I was a little surprised that the active shooter drill wasn't real, after pussing out at the end of S2.

I'd say the consensus is that this season is the weakest of the 4.

I’m working my way through the final season, and last night I got to episode three of the last season. There is a scene where Clay is in the therapists office, and I don’t know how to pull a screen grab but the therapist’s eyes are looking in two different directions entirely. Like this dude could probably see 270° at this point. Lazy wouldn’t even be a way to describe this dude eyes. The time stamp is 28:28 left in the episode and it is just straight up the whole scene of lazy eye. I had to pause it to text somebody who used to watch the show but lapsed to check it out

Spoilers:

Two hilariously gay scenes for me:

1. Alex kisses Zach. Zach tells him he’s not gay but it’s okay that he kissed him. They then hang out like normal rest of night. Zach also says kiss was good later on. No way a straight dude gets kissed by his friend and just is normal.

2. The homecoming king and king. How did this happen? The football team made it happen! Lol. This might be the most far fetched thing in this entire show and that’s saying something.

I will say that as bad as this show is, I still think a lot of the actors themselves do a good job playing their characters.

No I wasn’t complaining it happened. I was saying it was ridiculous saying the football team made it happen.

Just finished it. The last episode was just everywhere. It is like the writers said, lets fix all the stupid shite we have created and have all parents cool, all teachers perfect, all teenagers humble and driven, and all tragedy ignored.......yay. Happily ever after for everyone.

The same way a girl from Special Ed gets Homecoming Queen. Happens every year at some school and makes the news in their "And finally, tonight..." lighter side human interest slot.

The biggest thing that irked me this season was they really went hard in the paint for the premise that these HS kids are smarter than quite literally every adult in the town.

Well, except Sheriff Diaz, who put the whole Bryce thing together... but still doesn't know Clay poked his daughter.

Clay Jensen would be in the system in real life, so would Alex and Jessica. The fact that everyone got away smelling like a bed of roses is a microcosm of why today's youth is so screwed up. They expect zero consequences for their actions/failings.

Clay Jensen did the following:

- Vandalized school property
- Stole a firearm off a police officer and taunted a group of them with it
- Escaped from a hospital while still in police/state custody
- Beat a teenager to a pulp with his bare hands at a party after sleeping with his girlfriend (the chief's daughter)
- Drove drunk and flipped Zach's car, severely injuring Zach in the process
- Helped instigate a riot, assaulted police officers, and blew up the school principal's car
- Went into a police station and announced he had a gun and was ready to use it

And that's just what he did in the final season. It's not even including him covering up the murder of Bryce Walker or Tyler's attempted mass shooting of the school at the end of season two. Every single one of these offenses is potentially a felony and a misdemeanor at the very least. He wasn't charged or punished for any of it. I don't know about the rest of you, but all of these are telltale warning signs of a professional criminal in the making. I would have at least thrown his arse behind bars for a week or two to cool him off and give him a chance to re-think the path he had put himself on.

And even after all this, he still got into Brown(Ivy League).
