delayed earnings and nothing positive from Lanxess gives me a really bad feeling about this

Honestly yes this looks grim for SLI, however nearly everything in the market is red yesterday and today.

This morning was the 1st time I had shares borrowed in Fidelitys fully lending program. Interest rate of 6.375%.
Anyone else see an increase?

Time to file a shareholder lawsuit. Board is not fulfilling their fiduciary duty to us!

This was not pleasant to wake up to

Might as well hold now until we get earnings or some type of news I’m not swallowing a 15% loss

All of mine have been loaned out for a while now, seeing the same 6.375% that you are.

For those of you with large profits at this point here, I don't think it's crazy town to take some risk off the table here and just be riding "house money" so that you didn't lose money no matter what happened. The overall market is spooking me right now (Tesla tanking is taking the air out of many EV related stocks), and if we see a crash in the overall market combined with further delays here, it could get ugly. I bet it recovers into the mid to high $10's today as the gap down on German volume is way too big a move on relatively minor volume, but short term we could very well see $7-9 again if the broader markets tank 10-15% and we go another month with no JV news. So kinda like Smack said, short term bearish long term bullish here.

Long term I think it'll be fine, SLI has the best technology to extract lithium in a environmentally friendly, low cost fashion and the value of that technology is growing leaps and bounds every day given the broader lithium markets. But they may have picked the wrong partner in Lanxess, and it could take time to sort through all of that and find some way to maximize the value of their technology while not having the Germans drag their feet on every decision. Even without Lanxess, I think Tetra alone would have SLI at a $4-5B valuation in several years.

This thing is going to plummet at opening. I hope to God I’m wrong but I’m sellling to the ‘but the dippers.’ I’m way to heavy in this to play around here. I’ll still be very very heavy in SLI but not 60% heavy.

Eh I think you've already seen the plummeting in the pre market here. My guess is $10.50 close. If you really want to lighten your exposure, you could set a $10.49 limit order and I bet it gets hit today.

I was joking about the shareholder lawsuit, but they have to realize they are not some penny stock anymore. Can you imagine if a real company consistently came out and said they were going to push earnings call back and push it back again and give no explanation? That tanks a stock in real world companies like they are hiding something and trying to come up with explanation for bad news before the call. As a penny company that is expected. As a real company it is suspect and has real consequences and costs shareholders real money. They need to get it together if they want to move into real company world.

Earnings were released in late October, I'm not sure where y'all keep finding these delayed dates. Maybe this is for a call discussing earnings?

Earnings call. Right. That’s precisely what I meant and you knew that’s what was meant. I apologize to the others that did not know that. I’ll change it in the OP.

That might be short term pain, but long term I'd like to see this as it would mean they are finally getting around to getting to commercial production. It's a race now, not a marathon in the lithium world and they need to get to work, Germans or not.
