Going all in on that retail rate which are as obscene as all get out.
I spent 35 years in healthcare, loved it, spent 35 years in healthcare and hated the business side

Uh huh... Got to love the Coronavirus fear-mongering by the media. Nobody's talking about how our state is screwed six ways from Sunday with trying to balance a budget this year

My take is we need to burn this state to the ground and hope enough legit people in future power can rise it from the ashes. It should be one of the best, most profitable states by resources alone. Time to cut off the Huey long bullshite stigma. I mean collapse the state and start over. Let all the sewer rat politicians drown.

The sewer rats didn't come here from another planet. They are a product of their various shitty communities, right here in LA.

This is how democrats enrich themselves with our tax dollars. In this case, they used the media to create fear of a pandemic and then provide State's with aid who then funnel it to their big campaign contributor's/contractors.

How many small hospitals could have be built or renovated for this same price tag?
Must have been a nice payday for the contractors.

A special thanks to all the people that claim to be Republicans and conservatives but still voted for this dumbass. Y'all did a great job keeping Louisiana last in the nation.

Houston built one at NRG Park in Houston for $60 million and that is thought to be expensive as well. Somehow ours cost $100 million more than that one.

And remember, the building was already in place.
165 million to build, how much for architects, engineers, and how much to run it?

I thought NO was a “hotspot” .......190??

Even if you burned it all down... scrapped the Constitution, passed a new one, fired every public employee and re-hired new staff... we would still be in the same boat just a few years later.
We have a people problem in addition to a system problem. The pool of people who want to be involved in state politics is not a quality resource. And the people they represent are poor, entitled, uneducated, and have a disdain for anything that tries to improve their station or their state.
I might be wrong for this, but I am not bullish on Louisiana in the future. I honestly think we are too far gone to turn things around.

Now take that ratio and apply it to universal government healthcare.
Posted on 5/14/20 at 9:27 am to tigerdude12
How is it even possible it cost that much? What a load of shite.

Wonder which politician’s brother-in-law came out ahead on that.

Anybody know how many travel trailers the state purchased to set up the 3 quarantine sites at the state park or how many were actually used?

328,200,000 190
—————- = ——————
X 165,000,000
190 X = 5.4153e+16
X = 2.85016e+14
Or 285,016,000,000,000
So based on that experiment of government efficiency, along with the need and use study, universal healthcare for every man, woman, and child would cost something like 285 Trillion dollars
