I think SmackoverHog is a physician, too. I’ve been trying to keep up with both of their posts on the current issues.

work in the medical field as a nurse anesthetist and I am exposed to and intubating these patients while taking all the precautions. I was speaking with a physician friend of mine and he said Hydroxchloroquine suppresses the immune system. It’s not to be taken lightly as it prevents the body from identifying and creating antibodies to fight against it. If you are able to survive an infection, you are then susceptible to get re-infected.

i am really starting to lose faith in doctors. I understand they are callable, but jesus they are everywhere and seem to just rely on opinions

As for "scientists" most of them don't even believe in God. Enough said.

Problem with them, is that their whole lives revolve around grants. YOu get other scientists to back your work, even as BS as it is, and you get that grant $$$

People don't realize how big the grant money is, and how it can make or break people in the fields.

But i do love when our taxes go to brilliant studies by researchers and scientists, who after spending millions of Dollars, come up with, "Eating fatty foods and not dieting can cause heart disease." F'in brilliant

I would not go to that doc for any medical reason.

I think most of them have underlying undiagnosed dumbassery. It just gets acutely exacerbated at times like this.

That sounds like rumor. It is certainly not happening in Louisiana.

That's why it is used in auto-immune illness, but that doesn't mean it suppresses the response to this virus. Remember, it is used for malaria, which is not a virus, but an infectious illness nonetheless. Immune suppression does not mean it globally suppresses the immune response and all of its multiple facets.

It’s personal to these docs now because people are calling them on their bullshite. The medical community is throwing a hissy fit because no one wants to listen to their stupid arse restrictions so they throw more and more outlandish claims out there in hopes of inticing a reaction. This thing is a flu and should’ve been treated as such, the government saw an opening and has been playing all angles like a fiddle.

Wrong. This is more contagious than flu. Flu doesn't create the need for field hospitals in convention centers in multiple cities at the same time.

Sounds like you're hearing a small minority. Tje majority are going about their jobs and using the med combo.

This is why I don't just trust doctors or scientists. We are told to trust these people because"they are smarter than us". I know many in the medical field(especially nurses) that if I were dying I wouldn't let them near me with a 10 foot pole. There are good and bad doctors. Some are crazy as shite, but I know some people will believe anything they tell them because "a doctor said it". As for "scientists" most of them don't even believe in God. Enough said.
People have bought into a lie that scientists are objective and facts are brute. The truth is that everyone has underlying presuppositions that govern their conclusions (no one is neutral) and facts must be interpreted in light of those presuppositional biases.

What evidence do you have that it’s more contagious? The seasonal flu travels the globe and kills in the thousands and sends many to hospitals? What evidence do you have?

Also, multiple articles have been published with direct quotes from doctors indicating they’ve added fuel to this fire because no one was listening.

The Ro is 2.5 compared to the flu's 1.3.

You also simply have to look at what's going on in hospitals and the extraordinary plans being made for overflow.

Trump seems to understand what you don't. This is not the flu.

But wouldn't it though if, say, there were no flu as we know it today (yet), then suddenly an outbreak of "the flu" occurred, the first time it was ever a thing. Under the same circumstances we're seeing now....first time seeing it, treatments are undeveloped, no vaccine, blindsided by fast spreading pandemic, etc.....wouldn't the same results likely occur?

What about anesthesia? Has that been known to kill people?

That data is also contingent that you have found everyone that has the virus. If u fear mongers are correct there are tons of asymptomatic cases in which there would be no way to determine if they passed the virus on especially if the next carrier also shows no symptoms.

Sure, but still not as contagious. Once we get a vaccine, this will become more like the flu in impact.

Correct. If there are significant numbers of infected we dont know about, that means it's more contagious than we realize. The Ro would then be higher.

I'm not fear-mongering. The large majority of the infected will have no problems. Trump is doing a good job. I'm very hopeful about the med combo.

He’s the hospitalist at our local, fairly large, hospital. He’s a retired military general practitioner and worked as emergency room doc for 10-12 years after military retirement and now hospitalist. I’ve known him through other friends and have dinners with him, his wife and other friends for nearly 25 years

I don’t think you’re lying. Like I said, there are two options and I’d say we are down to it being option A) he’s an idiot

Don’t let doctors with TDS treat you for the Chinese virus. They choose not to know things and that could kill you.
