Please for the love of god don't spray paint my house with some sort of Code telling everyone I have COVID. I am self-quarantining and not leaving the house. Of course I understand we have other idiots out there who will necessitate this bullshite marking on everyone who has a high temp because they can't sit on one fricking spot for more than 4 minutes.

Here is the official word from a LA Congressman directly to me:
The National Guard is being deployed to help with sites that have been set up to house persons who are awaiting test results and do not have a place to stay, as well as to help drive-thru testing sites, and to help evaluate structures that may serve as temporary hospitals to support the medical surge we anticipate.
They are NOT invoking martial law.
I trust my source.

A friend told me that their friend's cousin's nephew who works for FEMA said that they're bringing in 18,000 coffins and planning to shut things down starting 6 pm tomorrow. Good luck. Watch out for your cornhole, buddy.

No offense to the National Guard (which I certainly respect)
But they're a huge pool of "free labor" for times like this. They're fairly well trained and fairly responsible human beings that can be used for pretty much anything.
I'm sure if there was a completely civilian pool of people who the government could call to action at its whim - they'd use them instead.

LANG can mobilize quickly, and has access to medical professionals, MPs, and construction, all of which will be needed to ramp up testing/medical capacity.
They are massing in the WalMart parking lot in Chalmette because it is just down the street from Jackson Barracks, which is the headquarters of LANG.
