ETA:
We basically quarantine, then the cases go down, then we go back out and it breaks out again?

Pretty much. Probably right around Halloween.

A new virus will hit.. The Heinekenvirus.

We all stay home, the virus runs it’s course, we have short term immunity, a vaccine and treatment is available, we return to life.

Encourage saving by a country with a negative savings rate

It’s going to be a 3-5 year process for this to get worked out. We may be eating each other before all is said and done

Destabilize the global economy.
Trump, Brexit, and the Hong Kong protests scared the globalist cabal and they went into attack mode.

Slow the transmission. Test high high riskies. Isolate them. Release them back into society when they are trustworthy. Drop dollars at da club.

What does run it’s course mean? That would seem to assume that it is either seasonal or will ultimately die off.
How do we get short term immunity if we never get it because we are quarantined? Then the vaccine comes out in 18 months?

Anyone who thinks the government will cede control in 15 days or whatever is kidding themselves

How long will that take? People are going to lose their minds past April 1.

Haven’t you seen the posts about how viruses last forever. This is your life now. No more bars or socializing. Enjoy being on prisoner style lockdown

Finally give millennials the nanny state they have been conditioned to want since birth.

Then they need to prepare themselves. May or June is the earliest I can see any return considering we are just starting testing mid-March.

So far it feels like the endgame is to end all small businesses within 3 weeks.
And they are doing a great job at it.

The vast majority of cases are asymptomatic or extremely mild. Most may not be even be aware they’ve already had it. That’s a lot of immunity that helps develop herd immunity.
They are already having success with some treatment plans and the approval process for these things are being fast tracked. There’s also the hope that warm, humid environments will prevent the spread of this like it does with other coronavirus.
We are only at the very beginning of this process and more info will make our options more clear.

You’re kidding yourself if you think people can just sit at home for weeks, no income or things to do, without shite hitting the fan. Lots of people are in a bubble on this board. They work from home, have a financial interest in the chaos, etc
