I'm suprised it hasn't been done already.

quote:

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards on Wednesday warned residents they should prepare to see a dramatic spike in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state as testing ramps up, and indicated shelter-in-place orders could be on the horizon for certain areas.

“This is going to get much worse before it gets better,” Edwards said, as he announced the state’s sixth death from the virus, a 92-year-old resident of the Lambeth House retirement home in New Orleans.

I refuse to shelter in place until all air travel comes to a halt in the country.

While I do not want either to occur, it is completely asinine to me that the airports continue to operate and they are saying gatherings of 10 or more people is not allowed in public places.

We are currently only testing people who are sick and showing a specific set of symptoms. Of course cases are going to go up. Grinding this entire country to a halt for two weeks seems like a massive overreaction. I saw three states have already decided to cancel school for the rest of the year. What happens to those kids?

Well no shite. We know this is wide spread. We also know it is not hurting 80% of the people who get it.

How much further can they go with this?

I'm all for trying to limit the spread of the disease/not over whelm health care but it seems we are going over board in many areas now.
